Mandaluyong City Mayor Benjamin Abalos Jr. details the significant features of the Green Building Ordinance in a press conference held recently at the Megamall Trade Hall 3.
The ordinance (No. 535,S-2014) was passed under the Green Building Project for the purpose of increasing efficiency of buildings in the use of energy, water, materials and location, thus, minimizing impact on health and environment.
The GB Project was initiated by Mayor Abalos in 2012 and undertaken with the technical expertise of the International Finance Corporation, as the city’s contribution to the global efforts in decreasing the causes of global warming.
