Mandaluyong City Mayor Benjamin C. Abalos Jr. together with City Nutrition Action Officer Menchie Abalos and Councilor Charisse Abalos formally open the mural painting of 10 Kumainments and Nutritional Guidelines for Filipinos along New Fabella Road, Barangay Addition Hills, a strategic info site for motorists and passers-by.
Participated in by students of public high schools in the city, the mural painting aims to intensify awareness on good nutrition and to encourage residents to have healthy lifestyle.
Mandaluyong City recently bagged the 1st CROWN (Consistent Regional Outstanding Winner in Nutrition) Maintenance Award from the National Nutrition Council and has won the Green Banner Award for three straight years (2010, 2011, 2012) advancing to 2013 CROWN Award for its exemplary and innovative programs to promote good nutrition in the city.
