Mandaluyong City Mayor Benhur Abalos led barangay officials in the opening of the newly constructed road connecting Barangay San Jose and Dr. Jose Fabella Street, Barangay Plainview. The project also consists of installation of streetlights along Dr. Jose Fabella Street, Brgy. Plainview. The event was part of the weeklong activities in line with the 50th birthday of the mayor. The new vehicles include four (4) units of L-300 each for DepEd-Mandaluyong, Animal Shelter, City Environmental Sanitation Services Greening and Beautification and City Health Laboratory; ten (10) units of motorcycle for PNP-Mandaluyong; and one (1) firetruck for Block 37 Barangay Addition Hills. The blessing and turn-over ceremony is part of Mayor Abalos’ birthday week celebration activities.

Mandaluyong City Board of Canvassers proclaim Mayor Benhur Abalos, who won by landslide votes in recent elections. Abalos served as city mayor from 1998 to 2004, then lone representative in 2004 and reelected again as city’s chief executive from 2007 to 2010 to present for another 3-year term.
