More Info: A sample of the ovitrap device distributed to schools and barangay communities in the city during the region-wide synchronized clean-up drive for dengue prevention project of the Department of Health in coordination with the local Schools Division Office.

The campaign is in response to a DOH report of a steady increase in dengue cases from January to June of this year.

The ovitrap device, primarily to target the dengue-carrying mosquito Aedes aegypti, is used to trap and contain insect eggs, stopping the insect's lifecycle in the process.
