Mandaluyong City Mayor Benhur Abalos observes Department of Health volunteers during a symbolic vaccination of children from Barangay Addition Hills.

The activity yesterday (April 4) starts the month-long Iwas-Tigdas national program which aims to eradicate measles by giving free vaccine to children between nine months to below eight years old.

The local government expects to vaccinate 64,000 eligible children in the whole City.
