Mandaluyong City Mayor Benhur Abalos and First Lady and Nutrition Action Officers Association of the Philippines President Menchie Abalos lead the ceremonial ribbon-cutting (inset photo) of the newly-constructed Hulo jeepney & tricycle terminal with park in Barangay Hulo.

The construction of the terminal, which is near the Mandaluyong-Makati bridge, aims to decongest traffic and crowding of passengers in that area.

Mandaluyong City Mayor Benhur Abalos, with wife and Kababaihan Kakaiba ng Mandaluyong President Menchie Abalos view one of the Niños currently on exhibit at the Executive Building, City Government Complex as part of the city’s 70th Liberation and 21st Cityhood Anniversary celebration.

The exhibit, dubbed as Niños de Mandaleños, is led by the City Cultural and Tourism Office to showcase the different images of Sto. Niño, the Catholic’s title of the vested statue of the infant Child Jesus and believed to be miraculous.

More than 150 images are on display until Friday, January 30, 2015.

Participated in by students of public high schools in the city, the mural painting aims to intensify awareness on good nutrition and to encourage residents to have healthy lifestyle.
