Mandaluyong City Mayor Benhur Abalos leads the laying of the time capsule at the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the new barangay hall in Barangay Old Zaniga.

The construction is part of the priority projects of Mayor Abalos to further improve the delivery of services available at the barangay level as the city observes its 70th Liberation and 21st Cityhood Anniversary.

Mandaluyong City Mayor Benjamin C. Abalos Jr. together with City Nutrition Action Officer Menchie Abalos and Councilor Charisse Abalos formally open the mural painting of 10 Kumainments and Nutritional Guidelines for Filipinos along New Fabella Road, Barangay Addition Hills, a strategic info site for motorists and passers-by.

Participated in by students of public high schools in the city, the mural painting aims to intensify awareness on good nutrition and to encourage residents to have healthy lifestyle.

Mandaluyong City Mayor Benhur Abalos holds the plaque presented to him by Philippine Red Cross – Rizal Chapter, recognizing Mayor Abalos exemplary humanitarian service and for being a champion activist of children’s rights and welfare.

Philippine Red Cross – Rizal Chapter also expressed gratitude for the consistent partnership, citing that under the administration of Mayor Abalos, they have been able to implement and replicate timely and innovative programs for the children.

The Awarding was held during the Monday Morning Program in celebration of Children’s Month.
